Salary/Remuneration: These posts are in the Pay Level 10 as per the Seventh Central Pay Commission plus allowances as applicable. The gross emoluments at the time of joining will be approximately ₹1,05,033/- at Delhi at present

Qualification:1) Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture and Master’s Degree with not less than sixty per cent marks in aggregate [fifty per cent for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes] in any of the following sub-disciplines: Agronomy Soil Sciences/ Soil Science & Agriculture Chemistry Agriculture Entomology/ Entomology Agricultural Chemicals/Chemistry

2) Having valid ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF(Ph.D) – 2023 examination Score card in any of the above sub-disciplines.

Age Eligibility: The maximum age limit for the eligibility of the candidates is 30 years as on closing date of application. i.e, as on 03.11.2023

Relaxation in upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC/ Persons with Benchmark Disabilities/Ex Servicemen shall be as notified by Central Government, from time to time.

Selection Process: Short-listing based on ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF(Ph.D) – 2023 examination score: The shortlisting of candidates for Personal Interview will be based on the valid score of 4 ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF(Ph.D) – 2023 examination in case of Agriculture Science discipline. Short-listing of candidates for Personal Interview will be done in order of Marks obtained in ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF(Ph.D) – 2023 Examination. In case of tie, among two or more candidates having same marks, seniority in the merit will be decided based on age of candidates and the candidate being elder in age will be given higher seniority.

Personal Interview: Only the shortlisted candidates will be called for Personal Interview. Number of candidates to be called for interview will not be higher than 4 times the number of vacancies in the concerned discipline & category. The candidates will be allowed to take part in the Personal Interview process only after successful completion of the Document Verification process. The date, time and venue of interview will be intimated by e-mail. The same will also be hosted on our website: www.bis.gov.in.

Final merit list: Candidates shall be selected discipline wise on the basis of merit as determined by the aggregate marks obtained by giving eighty-five percent (85%) weightage to GATE Score/ ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF(Ph.D) – 2023 Marks and 15 percent (15%) weightage to the marks obtained in interview. In case a tie occurs in the aggregate marks obtained after interview (GATE/ ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF(Ph.D) Score + Interview Marks), the seniority of candidate will be based on the following criteria:

i)The tie may be resolved based on GATE/ ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF(Ph.D) score with the candidate obtaining higher score given high seniority in the merit list.

ii)In the unlikely case of the GATE/ ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF(Ph.D) score getting tied too, based on age criteria, the applicant elder in age will be given high seniority in the merit list.
