Applications are invited for four positions of Extension Assistant (Contractual) against the posts of Subject Matter Specialists (Agrometeorology) at KVK, Ropar, Jalandhar, Ferozepur and Moga at a fixed salary of Rs.25,000/- p.m. + HRA for M.Sc. and Rs.30,000/- p.m. + HRA for Ph.D. degree holders under the scheme entitled "Setting up of District Agro-Met Units (DAMUs), ICAR-109 (PC-2496)”.

Essential Qualifications:

B.Sc./B.Sc. (Agri.)/ B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons.)/ B.Sc. (Horticulture)/B.Sc. (Forestry) with minimum OCPA of 6.00 out of 10.00 or 60 % marks.
Master’s degree in Agricultural Meteorology/ Agricultural Physics with specialization in Agricultural Meteorology with minimum OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.00 or 65% marks.
Must have passed Matric level certificate of Punjabi language of Punjab School Education Board or any other recognize board (as first or second language).

Note: 1. A candidate who does not possess Master’s degree in the relevant subject but possesses Ph.D. in the discipline required at Master’s level, shall be eligible for the post.

2. The candidates should have cleared four years degree programme at Graduation/Bachelors level.

The candidates who have completed Bachelor degree in three years should have cleared their deficiency courses in relevant subjects of Bachelors degree during their Master’s degree or should have completed one year duration Hons./Bridged/Special Programme etc.

The desirous candidates fulfilling the above qualifications should submit their applications as per enclosed format complete in all respects, along with attested copies of testimonials and a bank draft for Rs.200/- drawn in favour of the Comptroller, PAU to the office of the undersigned on or before 20.8.2019 up to 4.00 p.m. The eligible candidates should appear for interview on 30.8.2019 at 11.00 a.m. in the office room of the undersigned. No separate information for interview will be sent. The original copies of the testimonials should also be brought at the time of interview. No T.A./D.A. will be paid for attending the interview.

The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the scheme and initially will be awarded for a period of six months extendable for further period of six months or till the termination of the scheme whichever is earlier. The services of the incumbent are liable to be terminated at any time without any notice. .
