How to Crack NABARD Officer Grade B Preliminary Exam | Tips & Books


NABARD has released notification on 16th June 2017 for Grade B Officer. Successful candidates of NABARD examination has been recommending following books for the preparation of Grade B examination according to new pattern and syllabus of NABARD.

[SELECTION PROCEDURE]






PHASE I-Preliminary Examination (Online Exam)

Objective Type: MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) carrying 200 marks.

Duration: 120 Minutes Composite Time [Total 200 marks]

There are Seven sections of Preliminary Examination
i) Test of Reasoning – 20 marks
ii) English Language – 40 marks
iii) Computer Knowledge –20 marks 
iv) General Awareness – 20 marks 
v) Quantitative Aptitude – 20 marks 
vi) Economic & Social Issues (with focus on Rural India)- 40 Marks
vii) Agriculture & Rural Development (with focus on Rural India)-40 marks

First four sections are of conventional nature which is common for various competitive examination viz. IBS-PO etc. Last two sections are unique for NABARD examination. These both sections are  knowledge-based sections. So, there is no requirement of regular practice as it is required for other sections viz. Reasoning, Quantitative, etc.

Section-wise Tips and Recommended Book

i) Test of Reasoning – 20 mark

A] There are 2 kinds of reasoning question: Less time taking and more time taking 

Less time taking: 
syllogisms, blood relations, directions,inequalities,data sufficiency questions of reasoning, rows and verbal logical deductions.These questions should be done first. Solving these would enhance your confidence during the examination.

More Time Taking: 
These are taking more time as compare to above:
Seating arrangements, Puzzles, Machine input/output.
These types of Reasoning generally take much time between 1-6 minutes.

B] Always go for Best: Make attempt of those questions in which you are more confident and best.

C] Make your own Style: Everyone is a master in their own style of solving puzzles/reasoning. So make belief on your style of solving problems.
