 I.   Junior Research Fellow- 01 post (temporary co terminus with the project)
Project name and duration: Engineering broad spectrum against geminiviruses (until December 2016)

Essential Qualification: Post graduate degree in life science/ biochemistry/ biotechnology

Desirable : research experience in the field of plant molecular biology/Virology with specialization on host plant resistance/ transgenic plant development


II. Junior Research Fellow -01 post (temporary co terminus with the project)

Project name and duration: Engineering ToLCV resistence in tomato by using single and multiple artificial micro RNAs and synthetic rep gene containing multiple mutations to resist VIGS (until September 2017)


Essential Qualifications: Post graduate degree in life science / biotechnology/ Agriculture with CSIR NET qualification

Desirable: research experience in the field of plant tissue culture/transgenic plant development.

Project: genomic approach to develop high density single nucleotide polymorphism markers in Bhut jolokia for mapping and identification of genes for economically identical traits

Essential qualifications:
a.      MSc in any branch of biological sciences
b.       Minimum of two years experience in molecular biology with expertise in gene expression studies, molecular marker analysis/genotyping and plant metabolite analysis
c.       CSIR/UGC/NET qualified

Project: Detection and quantification of forest structure and function in the Himalayan foot hills using in situ and remotely sensed hyperspectral data
Essential qualifications: Masters in Remote sensing/geo informatics/computer science/environmental science/ forestry with practical knowledge of hyper spectral remote sensing.
Desirable:
a.      Working experience in ENVI
b.      Working knowledge of IDL/Matlab/R or othersimilar packages
c.       NET qualification
